About Me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Government at the University of West Florida. My fields of interest are international relations and comparative politics. Specifically, my research focuses on international conflict. My work has generally examined two aspects of conflict. First, the role of military capabilities – specifically naval power – on conflict processes. Secondly, my work examines the role of domestic politics on conflict and how often issues of power and domestic politics interact to influence conflict. I have recently published in International InteractionsForeign Policy Analysis, Research and Politics, Journal of Asian and African Studies, and the Oxford Research Encyclopedia. More information about my research can be found here.
