About Me

​I'm currently an associate professor at the Reubin O'D. Askew Department of Government at the University of West Florida. My area of specialization is international conflict. Specifically, my research focuses on the influence of military capabilities - particularly naval power - on conflict processes. Additionally, I study the impact of war defeat on future military behavior. My research has appeared in International Interactions, Foreign Policy Analysis, Research and Politics, and the Journal of Asian and African Studies. A current copy of my CV can be found HERE.
